Legend says that St. Patrick spent 28 years of his life traveling across the countryside of Ireland to spread the word of God. As legend has it, St. Patrick used the shamrock (the national flower of Ireland) to explain the Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Today as kiddos are enjoying the green festivities, take some time to share this amazing insight about a young man, who used his life for good. St. Patrick is a great example of a man who allowed himself to be used by God to spread the Good News.

We have sadly lost an incredible member of our Kids Crew team. The Lord has pulled her in a different direction of ministry and although she is thrilled about this new opportunity for growth and service she is extremely sad about giving up this dear class. Because of this transition, an amazing opportunity has opened up to minister to our 5 and 6 year old children. Our Seals class is eager to learn about Christ and these children are full of fun-loving energy. This teaching opportunity will begin the first Sunday in June. It is our desire to have someone observe the Seals class several weeks before teaching on their own, so please pray about this opportunity.

Missing Item...Can You Please Help?

Hello Families! I hope you are doing well and enjoying this bit of sunshine before another rain storm.

As you may know, we celebrated the Sanctity of Life Sunday several weeks back at ShoreLife. Horizon Pregnancy Center had a table with a display out in the lobby of the Worship Center. Part of this display was a set of little tiny babies (toy-like) that represented different stages of physical development while the baby is in the womb. Unfortunately one of these babies has gone missing. We have looked all over the church and have not been able to find it, so we thought we would turn to our families. These babies are easy for a kids to handle and are interesting to look at, so we are wondering if maybe "the missing one" accidentally went home with one of our kiddos. If you have seen this, please return it to me this Sunday and let me know that you have it so we can stop our search!

Hello Parents! I wanted to announce that the Christmas Pageant DVDs are in!!!! Please pick up your family's copy this Friday night (Christmas Eve Service) or Sunday morning at church. All DVDs are on the KIDS CREW table.

Anmer did a phenomenal job on the DVD once again...he worked so hard on getting these DVDs out to the families before Christmas, so please don't forget to express your gratitude to Anmer Sumortin for his service!!!

Please limit 1 DVD per family, if you would like additional DVDs to send to family members, please see me and I will do my best to get extra DVDs copied for you.

Christmas Eve Service

Hello! It is that time of year again when I plea for your help in the child care area. Christmas Eve is truly a great service and I understand your desire to be in the service with family. But if you have been blessed by our child care during holiday services in the past and have never served during one of our special holiday services, I would encourage you to consider giving that favor back to parents this Christmas Eve by serving in either the nursery or toddler room this year. We only have 1 person signed up to serve in the nursery this year, and we are in need of 3-4 more people to serve. Children 3+ will be asked to join their families in the service, but we need a safe cozy place for our little ones. Please e-mail me at emily@shorelife.org if you are able to serve in this way! Hello!!! I hope you are all doing well and have had a restful few days since the pageant is now over! What a great evening that was! Our kiddos did such a great job, all of their hard work sure did pay off. As many of you are aware...we tend to pay attention to 1 chunk of the stage and miss so much of the pageant as a whole. One of my favorite things it to sit down and watch the DVD once it comes out and see all the things I missed during the live performance.

Military Outreach

Hello Families! As some of you may know, our Men's Ministry at ShoreLife started a Military Outreach program as a way to touch the lives of our soldiers who are serving over-seas. This Sunday is the last day to bring letters, candy and other treats for our soldiers. Wouldn't it be special for our local soldiers from Los Al Base to receive letters from our kiddos! I thought this would be a great opportunity for the kids of ShoreLife to serve others. So please encourage your children to create a special card with a thoughtful thank you inside and drop it off in the lobby this Sunday at the Military Outreach table.

Pageant Bell Choir Practice Starts THIS SUNDAY

Your children will go into sing with the rest of the kiddos, but will then report to the Seals Classroom. Please sign your child into the Seals Classroom, where the bell practice will be held. Although we have a large cast of children this year, we still have some parts available for the taking (speaking and non-speaking) If your child wasn't able to make it to the tryouts but would still like to be involved in this year's Christmas Pageant, please contact me and let me know which part they are interested in. Health Notice

Dear Parents & Volunteers,
At ShoreLife church, it is our goal to ensure the physical and health safety of our children. We do all that we can control to create the best environment possible for our kids to focus on Christ’s love for them. As you may be hearing, Whooping Cough, medically known as Pertussis, is becoming more prevalent in our children. Hospitals and health care advisors are taking action and they are urging all who work with children to take the same precautions.

What is Pertussis?
Pertussis/Whooping Cough is a highly contagious respiratory tract infection. Although it initially resembles an ordinary cold, whooping cough may eventually turn more serious, particularly in infants. Whooping cough is most contagious before the coughing starts. Symptoms include: runny nose, sneezing, low grade fever, cough, similar to the common cold. After 1-2 weeks, may progress to stage characterized by bursts of numerous rapid coughs. A final recovery stage with coughing may last weeks or months. It is spread primarily through coughing and sneezing (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).

How is it Prevented?
The best way to prevent it is through vaccinations. The childhood vaccine is called DTaP. The whooping cough booster vaccine for adolescents and adults is called Tdap. Both protect against whooping cough, tetanus, and diphtheria.

Unfortunately, we cannot mandate that every adult and child at ShoreLife gets this vaccine, however we can do our best to ensure healthy kids enter our classrooms and that we are acutely aware of our health status before we serve in any of the classrooms. With that said, here are some new guidelines I am instituting in ALL ShoreLife classrooms (including the nursing mother’s room)
• No child/adult with a cold will be allowed to enter any classroom/nursing mother’s room
• No child/adult with a cough will be allowed to enter any classroom/nursing mother’s room
• All volunteers will be asked to use anti-bacterial soap/hand sanitizer before and after entering the classroom and before serving snack.
• All toys must be wiped down with anti-bacterial wipes after every use.

Freedom Feast Re-Cap

This past weekend we celebrated our Country's freedom all weekend! We enjoyed our annual Freedom Feast BBQ at the Park on Saturday, July 3rd. I enjoyed the company of 80+ others at the Westminster Village Park for fun play time and delicious food. We had a GREAT time! Sunday, July 4th, our 1st service classes enjoyed a wonderful party with a 4th of July flare added. Overall, this Independence Day holiday weekend was a blast at ShoreLife Church! Thank you to everyone who helped out with either festivity and those who provided good eats for our BBQ! I had a GREAT time with you all!

Hello KIDS CREW family! I hope you are doing well!!!

I am currently looking for a few people who enjoy working with the older kids, 1st & 2nd or 3rd & 4th graders in particular. Both the Dolphins class and the Whales class are full of children eager to learn about God. They are curious about the world and how God fits into the picture of their lives. This is an extremely special age group. These kids are inching closer to Jr. High, where transition (internally and externally) is at an all time high and the foundation for their faith really becomes firm in these 2 classes. These children are so dear to my heart and I wish I could teach all of the classes, but I can't. BOYS MAYHEM

May 15th, 2010 I along with the fabulous Jennifer Legg hosted the all Boys Mayhem at her house. And well Mayhem it was! It was a great time of outreach to un-churched boys, they played outside for almost 3 hours, ate pizza, created their own ice cream sundaes with the toppings they wanted and as much as they wanted (for the most part...with some restrictions..haha), they had glow sticks for night time play outside. It was great!!! It was a great time for boys to just be boys. Too often, the structure of the Sunday morning classes and school classes during the week doesn't cater to growing boys with an insane amount of energy welled up inside of them....so it was time we do something JUST FOR THE BOYS! And it was great. We had 12 boys, several of which didn't go to ShoreLife - which was AWESOME! After all that is the church being the church....leave it to kids to do outreach and it gets done every time! That is why I love working with kids so much, they are fearless...they'll invite their non-believing friends anywhere and are excited for me to meet them! I will be posting pictures from our fabulous event very soon! So please be sure to come back and take a look at the fun we had!

We have a great evening planned for children ages 3 years - 4th grade. Please don't miss this special time as we focus on the "GREAT COMMISSION"! This will be the first part of a 3 part series I am going to take the kiddos through as we begin equipping kiddos to GO and MAKE disciples of ALL nations!

1ST SERVICE - KIDS CREW ANNOUNCEMENT

Hello Parents! I just wanted to let you know that there is a slight change in our 1st Service Sunday morning classroom routine this week, May 23rd. The kids are actually going to be engaging in worship in their own class this Sunday instead of May 30th. This means they will NOT be going into the worship center to sing. Please bring your kiddos directly to their perspective classes

Also - for the older kids (1st - 4th grade), Mrs. Kathy Alvarado has a graet game for them in their 1st service class. They are going to play Bible Baseball and she thought it would be fun if the kids brought their favorite baseball hat or if they don't have a favorite baseball hat, any baseball hat they can get their hands on will be terrific! They will wear this hat during their Bible Baseball Trivia Game.

BEACH CLEAN UP THIS SATURDAY

Just a reminder that our Women's Ministry team is hosting a BEACH CLEAN UP DAY for our entire church! This is NOT just for women....it is for men and children as well! Please don't miss this tangible opportunity to take care of the beautiful beach God created for us to enjoy.

Where: Seal Beach at First and Ocean

Women's Ministry will have muffins and coffee for everyone. They will also be providing gloves and trash bags. So just show up and TOGETHER we will make our beach a cleaner place!

Baptisms at ShoreLife

Baptisms are always a powerful thing to witness; people expressing their faith in Christ for all to see! The baptisms that happened on Sunday, April 25th were very special because 4 of our children were baptized. What an amazing thing it was to see these little souls, that the world so often writes off, profess their faith in Christ in front of their friends, parents, Sunday School teachers, grandparents and even some strangers. The joy on their faces as they verbaly confirmed their faith in Christ is exactly why I do what I do. Watching my kiddos be baptized on Sunday made everything I do worth while. If you are a teacher or parent to these kiddos, know that your investment in these children's lives is making a difference. May God use these snapshots of what happened on Sunday as encouragment that God is using each and every one of you to make a difference for God's Kingdom sake. PRAISE THE LORD! May we continue to be obedient to the call of the Lord to "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." ~Matthew 28:19~

Hello Parents & Kids! Want to connect with the Church Community while supporting global missions? Then don't miss the church-wide Double Feature Movie Night!

KIDS CREW will be hosting a children's pajama movie night in May. We will be watching "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs"which is a very funny, entertaining and most importantly kid-friendly movie based on the child's story book. Children are invited to wear their PJ's.

At the same timem Team Romania will be hosting a movie night to raise money for their missions trip this summer. They will be watching "The Blindside" in the worship center which is rated PG-13 and not appropriate for the little ones. So please bring your kiddos into the Seals room to watch "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" while you enjoy a wonderful and inspiring film in the worship center.

When: Friday May 28th
Where: ShoreLife Church
Who: There will be something for the WHOLE FAMILY!

Time: Dinner will begin at 6:00pm and will cost $5 which includes pizza or a hot dot, chips and a drink. All of the money from dinner will go directly to supporting Team Romania.

Hello Volunteers! I know it has been a while, but I am finally making progress in getting set up to do fingerprinting on all our new volunteers. So just so you are aware, if you have not been fingerprinted since you stepped on board as a volunteer at ShoreLife church, you will be receiving information on getting fingerprinted in the mail in the next few weeks. This will include anyone who has stepped on board as a volunteer between September 2008-current. It will be no cost to you, but it is something that must be placed at the highest priority to ensure the safety of our kiddos and of you as a child-care volunteer. Easter Weekend Update

Thank you to everyone who volunteered during our very busy Easter weekend. Whether you served at our Good Friday Service, Easter in the Park or on Easter Sunday - please know that your efforts did not go unnoticed!!! Thank you so much for helping make this Easter weekend not stressful and wrinkle free. It was a HUGE success. In case you weren't a part of all the activities, I thought you would enjoy a brief update on how the festivities went!

Good Friday Service - we had a handful of children in our kids program! The adults had a phenomenal service with worship and a powerful message led by Dr. Brent Strawsburg.

Easter in the Park - The morning began at 9:00am at Huntington Beach Central Park to the tunes of our very own ShoreLife band. The KIDS CREW table had a Bible candy art craft that was free for all who visited our booth. 500 kids came through our KIDS CREW booth to make a Bible craft in the first hour and a half. We ran out of everything we brought by 10:30am. Ask any of the gals who volunteered at the ShoreLife booth on Saturday - they will tell you it was absolute MAYHEM! We all had a blast, and more importantly we got scripture into the hands of each of the families that came to our booth. Whether we see the fruits or not, we can feel encouraged that 500 seeds were planted through these Bible crafts the kids did. We also passed out almost 700 goody bags to the people at the park, which had some easter toys along with information about ShoreLife church! Easter in the Park never fails to be a GREAT opportunity for ShoreLife to participate in large scale outreach and service to our community of HB!

Easter Sunday - Sunday morning was a blast, we had over 70 kids in attendance and it seemed like the kids really enjoyed the various Easter festivities they participated in during class. We also got to enjoy a special rendition of Amazing Grace during our worship service by our very own KIDS CREW Bell Choir directed by the fabulous Megane Pickle. If you missed it, don't worry, I am working on getting a hold of a video of the performance and will be posting it here on the blog as soon as possible.

Thank you again for those who sacrificed some of their free time this weekend to make Easter at ShoreLife a GREAT weekend for our kiddos!!!

Hello Teachers!!!
I hope you are doing well and are saturating your lesson planning in prayer as we approach this Easter Weekend! One thing I forgot to mention to you all is that there are plenty of "easter" crafts in the resource room as well as "Resurrection Eggs" that you can use to help you tell the story of Easter to your kiddos. The easter crafts are located in the back of the resource room against the wall on the right in the cupboard, I believe the cupboard is titled "Holiday Crafts" and there is a bin for easter - help yourself!!!

Know that I will be praying for each of you as well as your kids as you present this powerful story to them this sunday!

KIDS ZONE- MARCH 31ST

Calling all kids ages 3 years - 4th grade!!! I have a GREAT KIDS ZONE planned for the month of March! We will be learning about how Jesus spent His last days on this Earth with His closest friends, His disciples. We will look at the story of the Last Supper and prepare our hearts for the Easter holiday weekend before us.

Also, your kids will have the opportunity at KIDS ZONE this coming Wednesday to make a missional impact on those who don't yet know the Lord. I have teamed up with Kurt Blake and the Long Beach Rescue Mission team to help them prepare something to give to all the members of the Long Beach Rescue Mission. Our craft this KIDS ZONE, will go directly to the Rescue Mission and into the hands of those who don't know our Jesus. Please don't miss this special evening! KIDS ZONE will be from 6:30-8:00pm in the Seals Classroom at ShoreLife.

We will have child care for infants and toddlers. Child Care will be offered in the Minnows Class Room.

Teaching Children's ministry can be a daunting calling, I know for me when I started teaching Sunday school and helping in Children's Ministry at the ripe young age of 9, I was nervous yet excited to get involved in the spiritual growth journey of children. I saw a need and had a desire to meet it. I want to bring a few needs to your attention, knowing full well that God knows who is the BEST fit for these needs and is just waiting to use one of you to impact the lives of our children on Sunday morning.

I have been presented with 2 HUGE needs in children's ministry, and it is my prayer that God will touch the heart of someone in the church (parent or not) to serve our children.

At ShoreLife, our biggest age group of kids falls under the 3 and 4 year old age range. They are just discovering the joy of life and the love of Christ. They are vivacious and full of energy! They love to play, sing, learn, recite verses and chit chat with their new friends. It is incredible how much these children learn on a weekly basis. They memorize scripture more than any other age range at ShoreLife. They GET IT! They understand that God's love is for them and their friends and family. If you ask them, they understand that they are called to share God's word with others. Be a part of their growth and development at church by teaching them on a month-on/month-off basis. The Starfish Class will be in need of both a Teacher and a Helper starting the month of June. I am looking for 2 people, who are passionate about sharing Christ's love with others, and being able to relate God's word to 3 and 4 year old children. If this is something you are interested in, please let me know!

I have a phenomenal group of 1st & 2nd graders who are eager to learn. They are full of energy and passion for God's word. They love to have a good time in Sunday School while sharing with you all that goes on in their life, after all in 1st and 2nd grade A LOT happens in the week of their life. They need someone who wants to teach them God's word in an energetic and captivating fashion. They are ready to learn and hide God's word in their heart, but we are short a teacher in their class. The format of the teaching schedule in the Dolphins class is currently month-on/month-off which has worked great. If you are interested in serving the Lord and feel like God could use your gifts and talents to reach our Children for Christ, please contact me!

If you are already involved, thank you! Please be keeping these two volunteer positions in your prayers! I am confident that as long as we are glorifying the Lord through KIDS CREW, He will provide the help we need for the kids He brings through our doors! Thank you!!!

EASTER SUNDAY BELL CHOIR SIGN UPS

Hello Parents!!! We have the opportunity this year to involve our children in the Easter Sunday service  Megane Pickle, our fabulous Bell Choir Director, is going to direct the children in 1 bell song to perform in front of the church during both services on Easter Sunday. If your child, ages 4 years – 4th grade is interested in playing a bell for this special performance, please let me know asap. I realize this is a little last minute, but I have no doubt it will be precious and everything will run smoothly!

Before you eagerly sign your child up, here are the dates your child must be present to practice. Because there are only 3 Sundays we can practice between now and easter, it is pertinent that your child make it to EVERY practice. Practices will occur during 1st service on, Sunday March 14th, Sunday March 21st, and Sunday March 28th.

Please respond to me no later than Wednesday March 10th if your child wants to be included in this special performance 

Another piece of information that might help with your Easter Festivity Plans, the kids will perform during both services before the sermon. So you would need to be available during BOTH services but you can leave after their performance during the 2nd service.

VBS HELP NEEDED!

Hello!!! It is time to start planning for VBS 2010. I am so excited about VBS this year, and I hope you are too. If you are interested in serving at VBS 2010 please come to our meeting on Saturday May 8th from 9:30am – 10:30am and get plugged in. At this meeting you will get to preview our VBS for 2010 and get information regarding your involvement. Whether you have volunteered in years past or this is all brand new to you, I encourage you to pray about your involvement at Vacation Bible School summer 2010.

Here is some brief information about VBS 2010 to get you excited!
When: Monday August 2nd – Friday August 6th
Time: 9:00am – 12:00pm
Who: Children ages 4 years – 4th grade
Where: At ShoreLife Church

Last year at Vacation Bible school we had 50 kids arrive each day excited and eager to learn about Jesus. It was so much fun having the kids get so excited about what they were learning and reciting their memory verse to you with such pride and excitement. Twelve kids accepted Christ as their personal Lord and Savior during VBS…..and WOW, what an incredible experience it was to be a part of the biggest decisions these kids will ever make in their life. Be a part of vacation bible school and impact a life in the name of Jesus Christ this summer.

As we enter March, we cannot help but mentally, emotionally and spiritually prepare ourselves and our children for the powerful story of Easter. Christ's death and resurrection is the foundation for all that we believe, and what a more powerful way to share this with others than during the Easter season. I want to personally invite you to a few things ShoreLife has going on Easter weekend.

Good Friday Service
When: Friday April 2nd from 6:30pm-7:30pm
This is a great time to prepare your heart and reflect on the majesty of our King Jesus.
There will be a powerful service for all the adults, we will have child care for infants - 3 years old. We will also have a kids program running for children 4 years - 4th grade so there is something for everyone! You don't want to miss this powerful evening as we are reminded of Jesus Christ's great sacrifice on the cross.

Easter in the Park
When: Saturday April 3rd from 9:00am-12:00pm
This is a fabulous outreach opportunity that ShoreLife has embarked upon for the past years. There will be an Easter Egg Hunt for kids of all ages throughout the morning. The ShoreLife Band will be providing all the live entertainment for the event as well as hosting a candy craft booth among many many other organizations. Please bring your family and be a light to our community on this fun and festive day.

Easter Sunday
When: Sunday April 4th
We will have both of our regular services, 9:00am & 10:30am. There will be fun programs for all the kids as well as an amazing message delivered by Pastor Brent. Please don't miss this opportunity to invite friends, family and neighbors to this Sunday morning service.

Please keep this Easter season in your prayers as we have a huge opportunity to make an impact for our Lord Jesus Christ.

CPR Certification Training - March 27th, 9:30am-11:30am

Hello Parents and Volunteers!!! Its that time again to certify all our volunteers for infant/toddler/adult CPR and Airway Obstruction. If you are a volunteer in Kids Crew, please try to make attending this training a priority. Laureen, a certified CPR Trainer, will be coming to ShoreLife Church on Saturday, March 27th do conduct a training session. This session is 2 hours long and will last from 9:30am-11:30am. I will have coffee and breakfast snacks for all who attend, so feel free to come a little early to snack and fellowship. I will be opening the doors at 9:00am.

The cost is just $25. If you are a volunteer, and this cost puts the class out of reach for you then we will do what we can to subsidize the cost. I do need you to RSVP ahead of time, so if you haven't already please RSVP to me via e-mail at Emily@ShoreLife.org. Laureen will only bring enough equipment for those RSVP'd, so it is pertinant that you RSVP to me. I am asking that you RSVP by Sunday March 21st.

This is being offered specifically to KIDS CREW volunteers, but because we feel it is important that we are educated in this area, we will be opening this up to the entire church - so parents please feel free to attend this as well.

Valentine's Bonanza

So as many of you may know, the 2nd Annual Children's Ministry Valentine's Bonanza was this past weekend, Saturday February 6th. We had a great time!!! The gloom and the rain didn't stop families from bringing their kiddos in the Valentine's spirit saturday morning to have a great time. We decorated cookies, made crafts, wrote and decorated cards to send to recipients of wheel chairs through the Free Wheelchair Mission, played HEART Bingo and had a great devotional to focus on the greatest LOVE of all time, Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross, for ALL our sins.

Its days like these that make me reflect on my job and say, God is Good. He has entrusted me with the most precious children and I am so blessed to call this work.

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped and helped make the morning so smooth and fun for all of the kids who attended. I look forward to our 3rd Annual Valentine's Bonanza!!!

HELP HAITI: Soles4Souls

As I am sure you are aware, Haiti has suffered a phenomenal tragedy when this earthquake hit. Many lost their homes, family members and much of their belongings. But let them not lose hope. We are constantly teaching our kids to "love your neighbor" as scripture commands us; what better way to teach this than to help them put words into action. I have learned there are many tangible ways we can help the survivors of this quake. One area of service you can support to help families in Haiti is through a shoe charity hosted by Sport Chalet. Their goal is to donate more than 250,000 pairs of shoes to affected areas. They will be collecting gently worn pairs of men's, women's and children's shoes until January 31st which is a week and a half from now. This is a great way to involve your children in global service. Don't miss this opportunity to serve our neighbors in Haiti.

SUPER BOWL 2010 - FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!

Hello KIDS CREW family! What holiday is explained by the following stats:
-It is the #1 at home party event of the year
-15,000 tons of chips are consumed
-4,000 tons of popcorn are consumed
-12 million pounds of avocado are sold in preparation for this holiday

You've probably figured out that I am talking about the American Phenomenon called "SUPER BOWL SUNDAY". Families and friends across America have mastered this celebration, which is evident through the amount of food sold and BBQ's planned across the country. Super Bowl is famous for great parties, fabulous food, and GREAT FELLOWSHIP!!! Let's get involved in this country wide party and be LIGHTS to the world this year! ShoreLife is encouraging you do this in 1 of 2 ways.
1. Throw a Matthew Party. If you remember from reading, "Just Walk Across the Room", Matthew Parties are events where you invite believing and non-believing friends/family members to hang out together. This is an incredible opportunity for you to be a light in your community! This fosters great growth and breaks down walls for non-believers.

2. Come to the annual ShoreLife Potluck on Super Bowl Sunday. Bring a friend or just come to fellowship with other believers. This is a great time to build relationships and hang out with people you don't otherwise get a chance to mingle with. Hanging out with the church family in fellowship presents a great opportunity to bring growth and nourishment to the Body of Christ.

If you are interested in throwing a Matthew Party, let either me or Andrew Garland know so we can lift you up in prayer as you minister to unbelievers. Either options presents you with HUGE opportunities to impact those around you and to be impacted!!!

Please be sure to pick 1 up for your family on Sunday, they will be on the KIDS CREW table. If you had more than one child in the Christmas pageant this year, please only take 1. If you would like extra copies for family members, please let me know and I will have them made for you on an "as needed" basis. We are going to have a fabulous time of Christmas Crafting, Christmas Caroling, Cookie Decorating and watch a festive Christmas Movie!

Children are welcome to wear any Christmas attire they may have. This could include their favorite pair of Christmas PJ's, their favorite pair of Christmas socks, a santa hat or just a simple jingle bell! Look forward to seeing you all there!

This past Sunday, December 6th we had our 6th annual KIDS CREW Christmas Pageant! What a blast that was. The kids were just fabulous! From the sweet voice of Ari to the incredible job memorizing scripture done by Carina , Julia , Amber , Serena & Jack to the adorable animal duel by Louie & Elliott. Everyone was just GREAT!

Thank you to all the volunteers who made this night such a success! Everyone from the stage mom's to the decoration team, the videography, the music, the costumes and the pizza servers - everyone contributed to making this evening a smooth and seemless night! Thank you!!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I just wanted to extend thanksgiving and my utmost gratitude to the KIDS CREW Volunteers who sacrifice much of their time to reach our kiddos for the Lord Jesus Christ! What a blessing it is to be surrounded by volunteers who see and believe that children are a huge and vital part of the Kingdom of God! I am incredible grateful to work alongside such GREAT people who as a team we encourage each other and spur one another to serve our Jesus wholeheartedly! It is such a great thing, that even though YOU, our volunteers do a lot of leg work and spend countless hours on lesson planning, event planning, sewing costumes, making snacks and creatively thinking up crafts, you all see that we do this for no other reason than to GLORIFY our Lord Most High!

Last night I attended the Thanksgiving Eve Service at ShoreLife. What a tremendous reminder it was of God's goodness! Through the expressed thanksgiving of 2 children, I was reminded (although not in the least surprised) that God shows his goodness in the lives of our children as well as our adults. The profound expressions of thanksgiving that our kids shared, whether it small or vast, reminded me that God is worthy of our thanks no matter what! GOD IS GOOD!

Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name

Welcome to the SHORELIFE KIDS CREW Hub for teachers and parents! Here I will stay up to date on all events, meetings, post pictures from events and any information you will need regarding KIDS CREW. Please visit it often as there will be updates as they come.

Also - feel free to e-mail me any questions you have or ideas you would like to share with other teachers or parents. I will post the questions and everyone who wants to can comment on them :)
